Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This site is a static blog: no backend, no accounts, no login, no forms. That makes the list of what is collected a short one, and it is described below exactly as the site behaves.
Who is responsible
Fernando Teixeira is responsible for the processing described here. For any request about your data, write to privacidade@buildando.com.
What the site collects on its own
Nothing. There is no database, no user account and no form on this site.
What your browser stores stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere: your theme preference (light or dark) and, where applicable, your cookie decision.
Analytics
Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept it in the cookie banner. If you decline, it is not loaded.
Once accepted, Google Analytics 4 receives browsing data: pages visited, referrer, device type, browser, language and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It also writes its own cookies in your browser, and that data is then processed by Google under its own privacy policy.
Ads are served by Google AdSense, which writes its own cookies after you accept.
The legal basis is your consent. You can change your mind at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page, which reopens the banner. Declining after having accepted also expires the analytics cookies already set and reloads the page, so nothing keeps running in that session.
Comments
Comments use giscus, which renders GitHub Discussions inside the page. When you scroll to the comments area, your browser loads content from giscus.app — and, as with any request, that exposes your IP address and browser to that service.
Commenting requires authorizing the giscus app on your GitHub account. The comment is published publicly in the blog's discussions repository and is subject to GitHub's policies. I have no access to your credentials.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your address goes straight to the sending provider and is stored there — this site neither receives nor keeps a copy, because the form posts directly to the provider.
The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the provider's list. You can also ask for deletion through the contact above.
What does not happen here
Fonts are served from this domain, so no request is made to third-party font services.
Search runs entirely in your browser against a static index: what you type is never sent to a server.
Social icons and share buttons are plain links. Nothing is requested from those services unless you click.
Hosting
The site is static and served by an ordinary hosting provider. Like any web server, the host keeps technical access logs — IP address, date and time, requested page and browser — for operation and security. Those logs are not used for profiling.
Your rights
Brazil's LGPD (art. 18) grants confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization or deletion, portability, and withdrawal of consent. If you are in the European Union, the equivalent GDPR rights apply.
In practice, since this site keeps no accounts, whatever data exists about you lives in the third-party services described above — and only in the ones you actually triggered. To exercise any of these rights, write to privacidade@buildando.com.
Changes to this policy
Changes take effect when published, and the date at the top marks the last revision. Since the site is versioned in git, the history of those changes is public.
